Starward Projects is the innovative program of forward-thinking Australian distillery Starward.
Within this program the most unique and limited releases from the Starward distillery appear. Think of surprising flavor profiles, creative collaborations and seasonal experiments. Each bottling within this program is an experiment, an entirely new idea that goes against making whisky the traditional way. Starward aims to create whisky that surprises, inspires and goes beyond the “known.” This Starward Botrytis is a great example of that. A brave creation, born out of passion for innovation and creativity. Only 60 bottles are available within the Netherlands.

The Botrytyis Cask is one for the true enthusiastic. It is a unique single malt whisky that owes its character to a special aging in barrels of the rare Botrytis semillon dessert wine. This dessert wine is known for its rich, honey-like notes. What makes this whisky so special is the combination between the fruity, approachable character Starward is known for and those deep, sweet layers added by the botrytis barrels. Expect notes of apricot, honey and a gentle spiciness, all perfectly balanced with a creamy texture and an elegantly long finish.
Tasting notes | Nose : Powerful aromas of dried arbricots, soft orange blossom and sweet marzipan. | TASTE : The rich flavor of dried apricots returns here, with a refinement of spicy notes of cedar and nutmeg. | FINISH: A nice long finish with lingering notes of marmalade on toast, again the apricots and a nice finish with the full flavor of honey.
